Yes, the third match-up this year between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots will, hopefully, be much better than their second meeting, a 45-3 thrashing by the Patriots in Week 13 on Monday Night Football. The Jets did knock off the Patriots by a score of 28-14 way back in Week 2, but the Patriots have been crushing everything in their path lately, winning their last eight games by an average of more than three touchdowns.
The Jets got here by pulling a mild upset of the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium last week, as Nick Folk's 32-yard field goal with no time left gave them a 17-16 win over Peyton Manning and company. The Patriots, as the best team in the AFC and the entire NFL, took last weekend off as the #1 seed in the AFC.
Kickoff time for this one is schedule for 3:30 PM Central time on Sunday afternoon, and you'll be able to follow all of the action on CBS.
If the Jets win this game, they'll be traveling to Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship Game next weekend, while a New England victory means that they get to stay at home and host the Steelers for the right to head to Dallas for this year's Super Bowl.
