Cities preparing for Super Bowl XLV

With only weeks away until Super Bowl XLV, north Texas cities are working hard to look their best.

TXDOT is mowing grass around major highways, while Fort Worth is spending more than $2 million on maintenance projects like fixing street lights, repainting sidewalks, and re-striping streets, especially around Sundance Square and TCU.

Fort Worth also has extra salt and sand ready in case of bad weather Super Bowl weekend.

Meanwhile, DFW International Airport is fighting approval of a liquor license for Rick's Cabaret. It is a strip club set to open Super Bowl week. Opponents fear it will hurt development.
