Jets Steelers Score: Jets Can't Mount Enough of a Comeback Late

The New York Jets faced a huge mountain to climb in the second half of Sunday's AFC Championship game. The game was 24-3 at the half and the Jets had only managed one cumulative yard running the ball.

But the Jets made the game interesting anyway. They chipped away at the lead but were still behind 24-10 in the third. Mark Sanchez drove the ball to the Steelers one-yard line to start the fourth but came up empty and turned the ball over on downs.

That is when the Jets took advantage of a Ben Roethlisberger mishandled snap. Jets players dove over the quarterback for a safety.

The Jets ended up making the score 24-19 with minutes left in the game. The only problem is they allowed the Steelers to effectively run the ball, something they had done all day. One too many first downs iced the game and sent the Jets packing.
