Web Host Go Daddy to Unveil .CO Girl in Super Bowl Commercial

Web hosting provider Go Daddy (www.godaddy.com) announced on Tuesday it will unveil its first-ever GoDaddy.CO Girl in one of its two upcoming Super Bowl spots in February. Announced last month, Go Daddy is partnering with .CO Internet to air the 30-second Super Bowl ad for the new two-letter domain name extension.

Go Daddy has already secured network approval for the commercial, which will reveal the new GoDaddy.CO spokesperson. In the commercial, Go Daddy Girls Danica Patrick and Jillian Michaels will introduce their new colleague. As with its past Super Bowl commercials, Go Daddy's spot will direct viewers to its website to "see what happens next," where they can watch the unrated, Internet-only versions starting February 6.

Since its debut Super Bowl ad in 2005, Go Daddy has developed a reputation for its often risqué Super Bowl campaigns. An estimated 100 million viewers are expected to watch the big game on FOX this year, many of whom have never heard of the new .CO domain name extension. "Cool domain names, long gone in the dotCOM sphere, are available now with dotCO," says Juan Diego Calle, CEO and founder of .CO Internet S.A.S. "We think the new Go Daddy dotCO Girl will bring dotCO to the mainstream -- it's a memorable, meaningful domain name extension destined to open up millions of new, creative branding opportunities on the Internet." FOX will air Super Bowl XLV, along with the two Go Daddy commercials on February 6.
