Seattle Seahawks Odds to Win Super Bowl 2011: Although some people may not agree with it, the Seattle Seahawks are headed to the playoffs after winning the NFC West on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, becoming the first team in the NFL to make it to the playoffs with a losing record.
So can the Seahawks stun everyone and make it to the Super Bowl? According to Super Bowl 2011 Betting Odds makers, the Seattle Seahawks currently have the worst chances of winning the 2011 Super Bowl at +10000 ML! On Sunday Seattle defeated the Rams 16-6, to end the regular season with a 7-9 record tying St. Louis in the NFC West. In the end, the Seahawks had a better divisional record then the Rams.
Now the Seahawks will be the ones to go up against the defending Super Bowl champs on Saturday from Qwest Field, as football fans will curiously watch to see if Seattle can upset the New Orleans Saints. But Seahawks’ coach Pete Carroll said that his team as noting to be sorry about, despite all of the criticism their division received this season. Carroll is heading to the playoffs after just his first year with the team.
“We’re not apologizing for anything,” Carroll said. “We battled like crazy to get this, as did the other teams in our division. … So we’re the last guys standing here, and we’re proud of that.” The Saints ended their season 11-5, and will now have to travel to Seattle after having already defeated them earlier this season 34-19 during Week 11. The Seahawks will definitely have to keep an eye out for quarterback Drew Brees, who in their first meeting this season had five receivers with at least one catch of 23 yards or more. Brees also threw four touchdown passes that game.
On Tuesday, Seattle made some changes to their roster after they placed tight end Chris Baker and offensive lineman Chester Pitts on the injured reserve list, with their vacant spots yet to be filled.
