Super Bowl 2011: The Saints Will Have To Get There Without Thomas. As if the Saints season couldn’t have gotten any more difficult , there is now word that Pierre Thomas, the Saints running back, has been placed on injured reserve. Thomas, who was instrumental in helping the Saints achieve their first Super Bowl victory last season, will be inactive for the remained of the playoffs.

The only consolation for Saints fans is that there first round matchup is against a 7-9 Seattle Seahawks. If the Saints survive there, they will have to roll into Chicago or Atlanta, neither would be an easy game for the Saints, but Chicago might be the easier of the two. No matter which road they take, they’ll have to do it without Thomas.
