It's Super Saturday.
For the Beverly High and St. John's Prep football teams, today marks the biggest games they will ever play in their lives. Each will be fighting to win an Eastern Mass. football championship today at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, home of the New England Patriots.
For the Beverly High Panthers, they'll be looking for the school's first ever Super Bowl crown when they battle Somerset High for the Division 3 title. Beverly takes a 6-6 record into the game, while the Blue Raiders of Somerset are a perfect 12-0. Game kick is set to kick off at 11 a.m.
Later in the day, St. John's Prep will square off against the state's No. 1 team, unbeaten Everett, in the Division 1 Super Bowl. This game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The underdog Eagles (8-4) are hoping to bring a football championship back to Danvers for the first time since 1997.
