Chicago Bears Odds : Week 14 NFL Predictions

Week 14 NFL Predictions on the New England Patriots vs Chicago Bears Odds: Ice-cold, Soldier Field in the Windy City will be the site between two teams that could potentially meet in the 2011 Super Bowl, as the sizzling (10-2) New England Patriots [-2] visit the NFL Betting Lines underdog (9-3) Chicago Bears [+2] in a matchup of Division leaders. This game is set to kickoff this afternoon at 4:15 PM ET on CBS Sports.

The Patriots come in leading the way in the AFC East and winners of four straight ballgames. The Bears are just as hot, leading the NFC North and looking for their sixth straight victory. According to Week 14 NFL Predictions specialists, the projected OVER/UNDER between the Patriots and Bears is set at a combined total of 38 points scored.

New England comes into this week feeling very strong and confident, following a very impressive victory over its Division rival, New York Jets. With shutdown defense and surgical passing from MVP frontrunner, Tom Brady, the Patriots socked Rex Ryan and the Jets in the mouth, with a humiliating, 45-3 victory. Brady led the way in that game, completing 21 of his 29 attempts for a total of 326 yards, 4 touchdowns and an eye-popping quarterback rating of 148.9!

The Bears aren’t doing too bad themselves, either. With wins over Buffalo, Minnesota, Miami, Philadelphia and Detroit, the Bears’ defense is once again the focal point of this team. Going into Week 14, Chicago’s “D” ranks third in the league in points (16.0 ppg) and yards allowed (300.3 ypg), as well as second against the rush (84.9 rypg).

But here’s the stat that will likely be the Bears’ undoing in today’s game: Chicago ranks 13th in the NFL defending the pass (215.4 pypg). Needless to say that with a quarterback like Brady in town, it might be a long day for this defense.
