Super Bowl 2012: Giants, Patriots Meet Again

Super Bowl XLII happened four years ago and most of the personnel has changed between the two teams, but the 2012 edition of the Super Bowl will be billed as a rematch between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Quarterbacks Eli Manning and Tom Brady remain from the 2008 contest, as do head coaches Bill Belichick and Tom Coughlin.

One icon of that game who will not be participating in Super Bowl XLVI is David Tyree. He didn't last long in the NFL after the famous "helmet catch", the defining moment of his career and of the current-era New York Giants. Plaxico Burress -- now a member of the New York Jets -- would catch the game-winning touchdown after Tyree's catch to give the Giants a 17-14 victory, spoiling what would have been a perfect 19-0 season for the Patriots.
